Northampton Shoetown Slayers are once again bringing the live Roller Derby action to Northamptonshire in a double header of spills & thrills!

Bout 1 sees the Lollipop Guild take on the Scarecrows in a mash up of mixed teams from across the UK! Will the shorties take the win or will the towering Scarecrows prove the higher you are, the further they fall?!

Bout 2 sees Northampton Shoetown Slayers facing off against Lincoln's Imposters Rollergirls. There's no place like home! Will the home team take the win or will the Imposters Rollergirls prove we're not in Kansas anymore?!

Description: May 2012 Newbie Intake open for business!

No experience is needed, we'll teach you all you need to know! We take girls from never having skated before in their lives to the fierce, fearsome badasses you see on the track!

This will be a 6 week course to teach you the basics of skating. If you just want to learn how to skate then this is for you too!

Following on from this session practices will move to SUNDAYS at an earlier time! If you can't make the first one please get in touch with us to arrange to come to the second week.

Your first session is free! The remainder of the course costs £35(payable on your second session)

We're looking for committed people aged 18+ to become Skaters & Referees!

Daunted at the prospect of putting skates on? We need Non-Skating Officials and Volunteers too! Whatever spare time you have & whatever your skills there's a way for you to get involved!

We have spare skates to lend adult size 4-size 13(some sizes are limited so if you can get some before you start that's a bonus!).

Please email info@shoetownslayers.co.uk to book your size so we can make sure we have enough skates available on the night. If you don't prebook we can't guarantee we will have your size available on the night!

We also have pads & helmets to lend so all you need bring is yourself! Wear comfy gym clothes(no jeans, too restrictive!), trainers and bring lots to drink!
